Beechwood Road - Alexandria, VA
We expanded the space an additional 1,500sf to include a new master suite, kitchen, living room, dining room and powder room.
Consistant with Goodman's design, the main addition was layed out to be one spacious and open area to include a gourmet kitchen that flowed open to the living/dining room. A wall of 14'h x 24'w custom built window and glass doors were installed along with custom milled trim.
Granite counter top and specialty cabinets were installed in the gourmet kitchen. All new stainless steel appliances – including a six-burner Viking range, Bosch dishwasher, KitchenAid bottom freezer/refridgerator, Kohler sink basin with Grohe sprayer faucet. A hallway from the kitchen leading into the existing structure was also created.
The center hall section measuring 12'x30' was configured to include a master bath. The master bath is a true sancturary. With its granite floors and marble covered walls providing for a cool feeling of elegance. Dual vanities with Kohler sinks and Grohe faucets set on marble countertops; spacious 6'x12' stepped down shower with multiple Grohe showerheads; and a solitary soaking tub overlooking a private wooded lot through floor to ceiling windows completes the spa–like feel. A separate water closet was also provided.
Large his and her walk-in closets bridged the final section of the addition which extended the master bedroom by over 105sf.
